Born in 1931, Mary's prints owe much to her other skills, which are painting and photography. She uses her photography as part of the process for producing her digital prints, in small editions. The method of production means that every print is individually produced by the artist, calling for her artistic judgement at every stage and therefore unique.
Painter, printmaker and photographer, born in London. She studied at Reading University where she obtained a degree in Fine Arts.
The artist is a long-time member of the Newlyn Society of Artists ( NSA ), and in preparation for the Hardie-edited volume (2009), Artists in Newlyn and West Cornwall, Mary kindly donated her own collection of exhibition catalogues, cuttings and launch invitations to the WCAA .
